Overview:
Spend the day exploring the fields and barn studio, where you'll learn to create inks from freshly foraged plant materials. The workshop begins with a guided walk through the farm to gather seasonal botanicals, followed by a visit to the dye garden to harvest flowers. Back in the studio, you'll transform your collected plants into a range of natural inks to take home. The day includes a farm-to-table lunch enjoyed outdoors in the fields.

Location:
- Jill’s barn studio in Chatham, NY on a serene 200-acre farm
- 25 minutes from Hudson, 25 minutes from Great Barrington, 2 hours north of Manhattan (access via Amtrak to Hudson)
What to Bring:
- Sketchbook for color swatching and note-taking
- Weather-appropriate layers and walking shoes or hiking boots
- Harvesting basket (if you have one)
- Hands ready to work, questions, and a belly ready to eat a delicious meal from the farm
