Overview:
Spend the day on the farm, in its fields and in Jill’s barn studio to learn how to forage responsibly and create natural inks you’ll take home at the end of the workshop. We will walk the farm to forage and collect plant material to make inks. A demonstration will be followed by hands-on work where you’ll learn to make natural inks from botanicals. We’ll enjoy a delicious farm-to-table lunch in the field.

Location:
- Jill’s barn studio in Chatham, NY on a serene 200-acre farm
- 25 minutes from Hudson, 25 minutes from Great Barrington, 2 hours north of Manhattan (access via Amtrak to Hudson)
What to Bring:
- Sketchbook for color swatching and note-taking
- Weather-appropriate layers and walking shoes or hiking boots
- Harvesting basket (if you have one)
- Hands ready to work, questions, and a belly ready to eat a delicious meal from the farm
